Baby Mama Drama (think Dave Hollister's song)

In these days and times, it hard and almost impossible to date somebody without a child from a previous marriage or relationship. I know that I have done it and at times it was difficult. Between you and the kid/s, you will always take a backseat IF he is trying to be in the child/ren's life. But sometimes their is a 3rd party that makes the relationship hard, the Baby Mama. Now I am not trying to generalize all baby mama's, but 6 out 10 cause more drama than a lil bit. And if you are the new girl, she will make sure you are as uncomfortable in the relationship as possible. She will try many different methods. 1) Try to get more child support to break the man's pockets 2) Press charges that he assaulted her in some manner when there were no witnesses 3) Not allow him to see the child and when he is able to see the child NO OTHER WOMEN can be around the child
Now that makes thing hard if this dude is trying to establish a relationship with you or any other woman. No one wants drama, sometimes we are thrust in the middle of it and are caught off guard. Lots of us avoid Baby Mama Drama by simply trying not to date men with children. But if you go this route, you slice your dating pool almost in half. So what to do? Well if a young man says he has child/ren, check the relationship he has with the Baby Mama. Are they cordial to one another or is their a certain hostility when her name is mentioned? Does she know about you (if your relationship is serious)? He is very hush hush about his interaction with her? (Watch this one BM might still be his cut buddy) But you can decide for yourself how much drama you will endure just based on simple observations. So ladies, instead of talking to get to know this brother with kids, listen to him VERY CLOSELY .
